    Why does Microsoft Movie Maker Ver 2012 Build 16.4.3528.0331 create larger files on new machine


    I have the exact same version of MS Movie Maker on two machines. After installing it on the newer machine I discovered that the files that it creates under Youtube and For Computer with the exact same settings creates are larger file size on the newer machine. If I take that file and move it to the older machine and open it again and the save it, the file size is reduced by over 60% and the quality is identical.The original installation is on a Windows 7 machine, and the newer one is on a Windows 10 machine.Dos anyone know why this is happening ?

    However, you can still download the suite of files from https://digiex.net/threads/windows-l...version.14994/

    Install only Photo Gallery & Movie Maker, and untick the rest.

    It work perfectly on Windows 10 on my PC (ver 1709)

    lily, you can install Movie Maker by downloading Windows Essentials 2012. Use the link here Windows
    Essentials 2012     When you come to install you can choose to install only the Windows Movie Maker component of Essentials.
