Why does Microsoft persist in its demand that users install their Spyware?

If I have a program or App that starts and runs without my permission or me doing anything to physically start it and I did not want the feature started it must be Spyware! So Microsoft has installed Spyware in the form of EDGE and Cortana on everyone's computer even in the government. Both collect data from your use of your computer and give it to whom? They do not tell us, they do not explain themselves. They just institute insane practices that make our computers less safe less secure than ever. Their irresponsible attitude is exemplified by their lack of response or ability to fix what they break. Their claim to be providing a good system is absolutely a lie, unstable at any speed, I cannot do CAD drafting because the damn machine needs to be restarted after minor work is completed or it won't function at all because Windows loaded the wrong Video driver, or the USB and Bluetooth Drivers are fouled up or, or ,or one thing after another and they never respond or help!

When I installed Windows 10, 8 months ago I thought I had given MS enough time to work out the bugs, problem is they just keep adding more and more bugs to the system and never figure out the original problem. The last 8 months have been hell nothing but bad updates and theresulting problems. Since Microsoft refuses to provide me with a stable operating system I'm going back to Windows 7 on a dual boot with linux. remove all Internet from Windows 7 and use Linux to go on line, its the only way I see, I can keep a stable operating computer! Windows 7 has never let me down, except when Microsoft sabotaged it! Microsoft sure doesn't give a damn about small businessmen like me!

    :)

  2. Microsoft Sudoku not available to other users

    Hi Larry,

    Thank you for responding.

As Microsoft account has an issue, I suggest you to run Microsoft account troubleshooter from my previous post and check if it helps.

If the issue still persists, the account might have got corrupted.

I suggest you to convert the Microsoft account to local account, and convert newly created local account (with no issues)to Microsoft account to transfer the user content.

Step 1: To convert the Microsoft account to local account, you can do the following:

    • Sign in to your Microsoft account on Windows 10.
    • Click Start and then Settings.
    • Click Accounts and Sign in with a local account instead.
    • Enter your Microsoft account's password, and click on Next.
    • Type in a Username, Password, and Password Hint that you want to set for your Local account and click
Next. Click on Sign out and Finish button.

Step 2: To convert Local account to Microsoft account, follow these steps:

    • Make sure you are device is connected to internet.
    • On the newly converted Local account (with no issues), click Start and then Settings.
    • Click Accounts and click on Sign in with a Microsoft account instead.
    • Follow onscreen instructions.

Step 3: Once the newly created local account is converted to Microsoft account, you can log-in with this account, try to access
This PC and copy the contents from the old user account to a newly created user account.

    Steps:

    • Press Windows + E, click on
This PC in the left pane.
    • Double click on C: drive (Usually where the operating system is being installed)
    • Double click on Users and older user profile folder.
    • Copy all the content from that user profile to the newly created user profile.

Hope it helps. Feel free to contact us for further assistance on Windows Operating System, we will be happy to help you.

    Minecraft installation in Microsoft store

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We understand your concern as you are unable to install Minecraft in Microsoft Store. In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

    • What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type
      winver in Windows search/Run command)
    • Do you have any non-Microsoft antivirus program installed?
    • Does this issue occur for all games & apps from the store?
    • What is the date and time on the PC and ensure it is correct?
    • Do you get any error message or code?

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform these steps and after every step check if you are able to install the game.

Step 1: Reset the Windows Store Cache: Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the
Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe, and then select OK.

    Note:
A blank Command Prompt window will open, and after about ten seconds the window will close and Microsoft Store will open automatically.

Step 2: Run the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter: Select the
Start button, and then select Settings>Update & Security
    > Troubleshoot, and then from the list select Windows Store apps > Run the troubleshooter.

Step 3: If you have any non-Microsoft security/antivirus software installed, disable it temporarily and then try installing the game.

Step 4: If the issue persists, then we would suggest you to create a new administrator user account and check, refer this article to

create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10
