Windows 10: Why does my burned cd stop playing after a few tracks?

Hi, I just burnt a cd for the first time and I used Windows Media Player and a cd-r. After the 17th track plays it stops abruptly near the end, and it does not play any songs after that. I put the cd back into the burner and even those songs do not play on my computer. Does anyone know what The problem may be?

Burning CD, unable to view/save track listing

Hi, I joined up to ask this question.

I've burned several CD-R's and RW's until now, but I've never been able to copy the track listing onto the CD.
After checking some settings, most media players on multiple PC's can read the song and artist names, but not regular 'physical' CD players.
Like the ones that have a small digital screen displaying the album info directly as it is being played.
I think this specific information correlates to the data read on the PC, in the drive. So the tracks listed there must be how any other device may read the song names. These are usually called Track01, Track02, etc, and I can't seem to change it, even though the same songs (same burned CD) are easily read by Windows Media Player and VLC Player.
It even displays the production date (of either the CD or the PC) as 'last modified' date, which is pretty taunting.





Do they read some sort of sync file to translate the track names? Or am I missing a specific operation?

I've used multiple burning programs, and the latest one is Ashampoo Burning Studio FREE.
The problem is not within the diversity of these programs, I reckon.

Burning CD on Window Media player

Hi there,

A few problems:

I have a desktop computer Aspire TC-780.

Problem 1:

When I inset a blank CD in the drive, nothing happens unless I go into Device manager and right click on the driver. Only then do I get a notification that a blank CD is in the drive.

Problem 2:

I cannot bun a CD; it stopped and give me error message for particular tracks. Those same tracks can be burned individually on a CD. It is not the type of track the problem. I've reduced the burning speed, untick the box "burn without gaps".

I have returned to using my old laptop and external CD drive. I can burn the same list of tracks.

Any suggestions? Thank you.
