    Why does my computer randomly freeze and my 144hz monitor only runs 60 hz?


    Ill be on my computer and all the sudden it will all randomly freeze, and the only way to make it unfreeze is turning it off and then back on. I also just got a 144hz monitor and my computer will only run at 60hz. Ive tried to change the cap rate in the windows settings but it only shows 60hz.

    144Hz + 60 Hz dual setup.

    I mean caps to 60 Hz or does not play as smooth as without something moving on my secondairy screen.

    I have a 144hz monitor but when i checked the monitors optimal hz it said 60hz i can change the hz to 144hz but im not sure if ill damage the monitor

    Hi I have a 144hz 1080p monitor "Acer gn246hl" monitor and I have connected it with a dvi d dual link cable and yet when I go in my display settings the max hz it gives me is 60 help me plz
