Windows 10: Why does my controller disconnect from my PC after 2 seconds of being connected

My controller keeps disconnecting from windows after being connected for 2 seconds.This keeps happening I don't know what why or how its happening.My controllers batteries have been changed, I have uninstalled the device multiple times.I have restarted my PC multiple times.I have reset the controller.JUST TO MAKE SURE THIS IS CONNECTING TO MY PC NOT XBOXWHY does this keep happening?WHY is there no remediation for it? I have provided feedback for this via the feedback hub but NOTHING has been done

Xbox 360 controller keeps connecting/disconnecting

My xbox controller keeps connecting/disconnecting, I hear the audio notification from Windows 10 that it's connected then disconnected constantly. I'm trying to play rocket league but my controller keeps going on/off. I've tried different ports front and rear on my PC and disabling USB power saving and selective suspend settings. The controller itself is fine, I swapped with my brother, mine stays connected on his, his on mine has the same problem. Any ideas?

Initially, we need to pair the device to show up in the list while connected through Bluetooth. Check with the below mentioned steps and see if it works.

Xbox One Wireless controller keeps disconnecting

After reading some replies on here, there seem to be a lot of various theories. I'm sorry if it doesn't work for you, but I can confirm that exiting Steamworked for me. The problem is very repeatable.

• Connect and disconnect controller
• Sleep and wake up system
• Xbox One Wireless controller connects (as shown in the "Game Controllers" panel) and disconnects within 2 seconds.
• Exit Steam
• Xbox One Wireless controller connects and works.
• Restart Steam (controller still works)
• Disconnect Xbox One Wireless controller, then connects and disconnects within 2 seconds.

I'm narrowing my problem down to the Big Picture mode, so that problem is for another forum...

Hopefully this workaround helps a few people before the real solution is found.
