    Why does my CPU slow down to under 1ghz?


    Hello, for a while I have been experiencing issues with my CPU speed dropping drastically and slowing everything down. I have a i7-1165G7 @ 2.80ghz speed and its base speed is 1.69ghz. Whenever I open, close or do something on an app, my CPU drops from over 2.0+ghz to well under 1.0ghz. The same also happens when I try watching a video, my speed would drop to 0.5ghz which makes the video start buffering or really laggy to watch. Though, when I stop watching the video or change tabs, the speed would go back up after a couple seconds. I have even replaced the battery, thermal paste and cleaned o

    CPU stuck at 1GHz, Utilization >40%

    I tried running CPU stress tests everywhere and it still won't help. It's always clocked at 1GHz max when I run intel processor identification utility. Recently I've discovered that my PC is charging WAY too slowly and it charges 5% per hour. However, when
    I run battery tests and cpu stress tests, it didn't show any errors. The cable is acting normally and other laptops can charge really fast on it.

    CPU stuck at 1GHz, Utilization >40%

    It is always lower than 40%, even when I run intel processor identification utility it's just 1GHz, my base speed is 2.71
