Windows 10: Why does my dell windows 10 desktop say i need to activate it? what do i do?

my dell windows 10 desktop says it needs to be activated. i bought it refurbished at walmart online. and it has said that since. ive had it now for about 2 years. it works great but i cant personalize my pc with out it being activated. how do i freely activate it or by pass the problem to personalize my pc?

I suggest you to go through Phone activation to activate your Windows 10 copy.



To run Phone activation please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows + R key.
• Type slui 4 and hit enter.
• Select the Country or Region.
• Follow the on screen instructions.

My PC suddenly says its not activated

For verification, now you are saying it isn't activated and Microsoft won't help you?

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
