Windows 10: Why does my desktop enter power save mode during restart?

Hello, I sm running Windows 10 on a HP desktop computer. I am receiving this mesage whenever I restart my PC: "Now entering power save mode." Note: My PC is not a Laptop. Both settings in "Power Plan" are set to NEVER. What I'm experiencing only occurs when I restart my PC. I get the message on my screen that says: "Restarting". When that clears, the next message that I see is: "Now entering Power Save Mode". After 5 to 10 seconds, my PC screen goes dark. It stays dark anywhere from a minute, to 4 minutes. In Windows 11 power-saving mode, clicking the Windows Focus prompt on the lock screen will cause a system crash.

Problem description: As the title suggests.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Enter Windows 11 power-saving mode.
   
2. Click the Windows Focus prompt on the lock screen.
   

Expected result: The login screen should appear and after logging in, the browser should automatically open to view content.

Actual result: The system crashes.

Device information:

• Windows 11 version: 22H2 (22621.1413)
  
• Device: Lenovo Xiaoxin 14 Pro 2021
  
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H
  

Other information:

• When plugged in, the system automatically turns off power-saving mode and cannot be turned on manually. The function works normally.
  
• When unplugged, turn off power-saving mode and the function works normally.
  
• When unplugged, turn on power-saving mode and the system crashes.
  

 

Problem with the power saving mode

Hello,

I've had a problem with power conservation for a few weeks now. Normally my procedure is the following:

1. Putting the PC into power saving mode
2. Switch off the connector strip to which the PC is connected
3. Next time switch on the power strip and start the PC

Windows Version: 2004, Build: 19041.264

Before that, all the programs I had open before power saving mode were open. Now I have the problem since a few weeks that the PC boots normally and all programs are closed. This is not so nice, because I always have relatively many programs open, so I always have to restart them, which takes some time.
Does anyone know by chance what this could be due to?
