Windows 10: Why does my download speed on Xbox app not match my download speed on steam

My Xbox app maxed out at 3 mbs while steam does 25 mbs what is the problem

My download speed is very slow when i want to download something from firefox or chrome (around 200kb/s)

But when i download games from steam it is much faster(1-2mb)

I already did speedtests but my steam download speed is much faster than the download speed in the speedtest?

• I would suggest you to test the speed using any of the speed test website or app to confirm the upload and download speed.
• I also suggest you to reset the wireless router to check if that helps.

i do believe that i was the problem steam, discord and other apps show their speed in bytes not bits and after updating the windows store it has returned to normal thank you for your help though as these steps have boosted my download speed a little
