    Why does my fan on my laptop keep stopping for a second, and starting up again?


    While the fans on my laptop are going, they keep stopping for a second, and then going again for a few seconds, and stopping and starting again and again. This happens continuously. It only seems to happen while it is in sleep mode lid closed at the same time as it charging. It's almost like a quick burst of fan, and then nothing, and then a quick burst of fan again and again.

    Laptop Fan Running Constantly

    Three year old HP laptop, fan has always been noisy but this is new. I have tried everything I have found via Google to stop the fan but nothing is working. If I put the laptop on battery the fan stops almost immediately but as soon as its plugged in it starts again. There is no difference in the power setting for System Cooling. Any suggestions other than tearing it apart?

    Cooling Fan starts and the stop

    I have recently encountered the problem that my cooling fan starts for some seconds and then turns off. Due to overheating laptop shows BSOD errors like Kernel Security exception Failure, Kmode thread not handled etc. I am not getting what the exact problem
    is. Is it with fan or something else? Should I change my fan?
