Windows 10: WHY does my file explorer keeps crashing ?

from somedays my file explorer kept getting crashing whenever i opened it from my taskbar its does this wierd lag kinda thingy where i was like getting 1 frames per second and then suddenly close and for a second or two the windows would turn balck and it would reappear agaian but no apps get closed expcept fiel explorer then i tried opening by opening from go to fle location option from a app property on my desktop and it worked fine then i changed file explorer options from quick acess to this pc turns out my quick acess wasnt working whenever i click on quick acess it would again do the sam

You can try the following steps:

1. Tap down the Windows button first to activate the search bar.
2. After that, in the search bar type control, and then click on the top-most search result, that is on Control Panel.
3. Next, in the search bar type file.
4. Now, from the search results click on File Explorer Options.
5. Then, click on the Clean button.
6. Lastly, click on Apply and then on OK.
