Windows 10: Why does my file folders on desktop and downloads revert when I make changes or move items...

I have windows 11. When I created a copy of a file folder and then renamed it on desktop, adding older and newer docs and folders inside from previous works, the next day everything reverted. My old files were back in the old folders and the old main folder on desktop was back. The new folder only had the newly created docs. And my downloads folder, had gone back about 10 days. It was only luck I didn`t have anything important in the downloads. I can`t find any reason why. My anti-virus says there is no malware. Please help.

Change Folder View Layout in Windows 10

Did you download and run Brink's .bat file in Step 1 ? Lacking that, look at the screens in post 3. In Step 5 'folders of this type' defaults to each of the Windows templates for Pictures, Music, etc. If you want ALL folders to have the same List view, r-click any folder in each of the 5 folders under This PC (Desktop does not apply) and hit 'Customize this folder'. Set to 'Optimize this folder for General Items". Then follow the screen in post 3 using List instead of Details in Step 1 and you should be good to go.

The file path of your Downloads folder may have changed that is why the items that you've downloaded using Microsoft Edge always goes to a different file path. We recommend that you check the file path of your Downloads folder itself to see if it's in the
default path. To do this, follow these steps:

• Open File Explorer.
• Go to this file path: C:\Users\<your username>.
• Right-click the Downloads folder, and the click Properties.
• Go to the Location tab.
• Check if the file path inside the text is correct. The file path should be:
  C:\Users\<your username>\Downloads.

If the file path is correct, kindly answer the following questions for us to provide you the proper troubleshooting steps:

• When did the issue start?
• Were there any changes made on your computer before encountering the issue?
• Does the issue occur when you download items using other web browsers like Internet Explorer?

Here's the steps to update EMUI 4.1.1 to 5.0 :

• Download the EMUI 5.0(desired version) .zip file, and unzip it.
• Place the .hwt file in the HWThemes folder from your phone.
• Using the Themes app, apply the new theme.
• Restart the phone, in order to see all the new changes.

And you’re done!
