    Screen saver not following settings

    windows 10 on a HP laptop. Screen continues to go black after 1 minute of non-use. have tried multiple options on settings to keep it on longer, but nothing changes the length of time before screen goes black, including if set to never. Any one know
    why my screen goes black after one minute of non-use and why the computer does not do as the settings are telling it to? Can some one tell me how to keep the screen from going black so quickly, other than changing the times in the display settings?

    Recently i off my handphone about 2 months...so after 2 months i try to on my phone and charge the battery..what i notice is the screen does not show anything...just black screen but when i on the hp the light in on....i dunno what is the problem...as
    i can receive incoming phone but screen is black. Can i get some help on this matter. My phone has nver drop before.
