Windows 10: Why does my laptop freeze for less than a second then stutters/jumps back on track?

This has been my second laptop to do this. First it was my Dell Inspiron 13 7000 which has Windows 10 and now it is my Lenovo IdeaPad 3 that has Windows 11. It seems that whenever I am doing anything that's using audio it is easily detectable. Whether it be listening to music, watching a YouTube video, or even in an online meeting for class. A sudden freeze occurs within a second's time and then corrects itself whilst putting out jumbled up glitchy audio. It seems to come and go, but it began to get more and more frequent on my previous laptop until I switched to my new one. I do not know what

Stuttering Every Two Seconds

Every two seconds I get a stutter, the mouse freezes and then jumps forward. Audio stutters, games stutter, everything stutters very briefly (on the order of milliseconds) every two seconds.

This happens every two seconds like clock work. It happens on windows, it happens in browsers, it happens in games.

I've tried updating all the drivers I can find. I've tried a System restore to last month even though the problem just started today. I've tried closing out of programs and disabling various tasks.

I've tried various checks and all come back clean:

• sfc /scannow
• DISM.exe/Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
• CHKDSK /f

Please help!

 

Laptop stutter

Since some time my laptop has a stutter.

The mouse freezes once every second and then shoots further into the direction it was moving. Also typing has a stutter, when a button is pressed during the stutter it does nothing. I can hear the stutter when there is no sound playing, the sound is making
a very soft plopping sound.

But when I'm watching movies, the sound doesn't stutter and the video plays very smooth. Also the stutter seems to disappear when my laptop is on for about 2 hours.

My laptop is an Asus n56vz, running windows 10.

I don't know how to get rid of this problem and can't find a topic with the same problem

 

Audio stuttering at the end of each track

Hey all,

got my Omnia 7 the other day and so far its definitely made me drop my iPhone 4, even with all its apps.

that being said the audio is making me second guess that decision. Each track played, the last 10 seconds or so stutter. This is tracks on the actual device and not coming streaming zune marketplace.

This is every track and its more than annoying.

not sure if this is omnia specific or windows phone 7 OS issue.

anyways, besides that little hurdle im very happy with it so far, the omnia comes highly recommended from me besides a couple of bizzare hardware decisions. ( sync/charge port on the top of the device being a notable stupid decision.

hopefully someone can help but feel free to ask any other windows 7 phone / omnia based q's.
