  1. Why does my laptop no longer shutdown after an extended period of sleeping?

Good day.My ASUS laptop used to shut down after a specific period I don't know it exactly and i used to either leave the lid open or closed and it would shut down after being is sleep for too long. However now, it is not doing so and leaving my laptop on sleep overnight will keep it open. which is not what I want exactly. I tried resetting power options and applying the best energy saving recommendations but nothing is working.I followed many threads looking for my answer but I did not find anything useful.I will be waiting for anyone who's willing to help me.

    :)

Blue screen error when computer wakes up from sleep after a longer period

    Hello,

I have been experiencing a blue screen error whenever my laptop wakes up from sleep after an extended period. It does not happen if I open the lid and wake up immediately, but will if I leave it longer (?hours). It will restart and seems to be running fine after until the next time I wake up from sleep. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad X1, windows 11. Please advise.

    Thank you!

  3. Shutdown & Sleep bug

    Hello there,

I'm having Dell Inspiron 5547 when it was shipped it came with windows 8.1 64-bit with no issues of SLEEP & SHUTDOWN but when updated to windows 10 my laptop started having issues with SLEEP & SHUTDOWN.

1)When I close the lid or keep the system in sleep mode it never wakes up its need a hard boot or need to have forced shutdown by pressing the power button, still no patch for the bug is available.

2)when the system is shutdown it continues to draw power from the battery and in morning the battery is completely drained.

Have gone through entire suggestion given by Microsoft engineer & community member but had no solution.

Hence contacted Dell support but they told its Microsoft's problem hence contacted them below is the list of tickets so generated with no solution:-

    920338887

    1314118108

    1311883091

    1311881250

    1314642321

    1314806258

Finally one of the Microsoft executive said it's an issue with the DELL drivers when contacted to DELL they said its an issue of MICROSOFT and they have in written from Microsoft that both issue are because of WINDOWS 10.

I'm feeling like a football who is been kicked from one goalpost to another with no goal scored...

Now what should be the final solution as now I can't rollback to windows 8.1 as I'm way past the grace period for rollback???

Acer laptop wont wake up from sleep after extended period of time

Hey, I have a A515-45-r4rp laptop. Recently I've noticed that when I close the lid for a few hours the laptop goes to sleep no problem, and wakes right up after I lift the lid back up. However I've got a problem where I'll close the lid and leave the laptop to sleep overnight or for an extended period of time, then when I open the lid in the morning the side light will change from orange-sleeping to blue-on like normal, but the screen will stay black and wont wake up using the power button or keyboard or mouse. I had this issue before however I sent to acer and they fixed it, but after a recent bios update I did myself the problems back.
