Windows 10: Why does my minecraft Java keep crashing I have no mods

My game keeps crashing I’m on Java edition and that same crash message pops up almost every single time I was using mods before but I stopped using everything deleted the mods deleted minecraft deleted the .minecraft file and completely reinstalled minecraft and I’m still having the same problem I’ve even tried playing on the lowest render and simulation distance and I even capped my fps out at 10 just to see if it would still crash and it did please help

Trying to make Java work on Windows 10

First, go here:
https://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
and verify java is installed and working.

I.e. separate the issues of java and optifine. If that test is ok, Java should be ok. The problem is then how you handle your applications.


Optifine is (apparently) distributed as a .jar file.
It does not appear straightforward. See below.

Once resolved, decide if you actually need Java installed.
