Windows 10: Why does my monitor randomly stop detecting input?

Running Windows 10. Replaced my GPU about a month ago, but I haven't had any problems until the latest windows update, so I'm not sure whether it's the new hardware or something to do with the software.The computer works completely fine for hours on end if I'm writing papers and whatnot, but if I start playing games, after a while my monitor will go black with the message "There is no signal coming from your computer. Press any key on the Keyboard or mouse to wake it up."It happens at random, sometimes after 15 minutes of playing, sometimes 30 minutes. What's strange is, I know the computer is

Help! Both external monitors not detecting

Please follow below steps to resolve the message by switching the input source to HDMI: 1. Press "Menu" hotkey on the monitor to enter OSD. 2. Switch the input source to HDMI on OSD in one of the following ways:

• Go to Display > Input > HDMI.
• Go to System > HDMI Auto Switch > On.

 

Windows 10 stopped detecting 2nd monitor

Monitor - No Input Signal

So you are suggesting that in the event this cable goes for a six, I try out the HDMI port? Seems quite a tenable suggestion - I never thought of that!
