Windows 10: Why does my MS Surface mouse needs reinstalling every second day

I have read many tutorials on this at this seems to be a known problem from way back to 2020 it seems. My surface mouse stops working,, it shows connected in Bluetooth settings, but it does not work. I need to remove it from my system, restart the computer and re pair it again. This last for a day or 2 and then I need to follow the same process again. I thought that buying a MS mouse for a MS system would work a lot better than this. Very disappointed.* Moved from Community Center

Arc Bluetooth mouse not working properly with Surface 3

Experienced same issue, disconnecting Arc Mouse then reconnect worked fine, but not mouse interaction.

Below steps worked for me:

• Remove all Bluetooth connected devices, including Surface Type Cover and Surface Pen.
• Disconnected the Surface Type Cover then reconnect. It will reinstall tand connect the device.
• Then Add Bluetooth devices including Surface Pen and last but not least Arc Bluetooth Mouse.

Everything works fine again.

 

Stuck at OneDrive screen during Surface Pro 6 initial setup

Try the below suggested steps.

Method 1

1. Unplug all the external devices except Mouse and Keyboard.
   
2. Try to reboot the device and check the status of the issue.
   

Method 2

I would suggest you to perform Power drain by following the suggested steps.

1. Press and hold the Power Button down for 30-40 seconds.
   
2. Hold the Volume Rocker up and Power ON for almost 20 second.
   
3. Release the power button and wait for next 10-15 seconds.
   
4. Press the power button to turn on your Surface and check the status of the issue.
