Windows 10: why does my new computer when i trun it off and turn it back on it make me put a password...

got a new computer but i have an problem i trun it off then the next day y trun it on and i sayn to me you need a password but i dint it place one so im lock out of my computer pls pls pls pls pls pls help meee i need to do my homework asap.

You can reset your password following the next steps:

• Reboot your computer / Turn your computer on.
• Hold down the Shift key at the start of the boot process to enable the GNU GRUB boot menu (if it does not show)
• Press ESC at the GNU GRUB prompt.
• Press e for edit.
• Use the Arrow keys to highlight the line that begins with kernel and press the e key.
• Go to the very end of the line and add rw init=/bin/bash
• Press Enter and then press b to boot your system.
• Your system will boot up to a passwordless root shell.
• Type in passwd yourusername
• Set your new password.
• Restart your system.

 

the trun of a new idea

this is the start of my case mod. im a n00b and i have little bit of a vision for this case, i really want to trun my case into something new and COOL! i want more air flow!

turning of passwords

Hello Mark,

To turn off the password requirement on your Windows 10 PC, you can switch to a local account. Here are the steps to do so:

1. Click on the Windows icon and then the Settings icon.
   
2. Click on Accounts and then on Sign in with a local account instead.
   
3. Enter your existing password and click OK.
   
4. Enter your local username and leave the password fields empty.
   
5. Click on Next and then on Sign out and finish.
   

Alternatively, you can disable the password requirement by unchecking the “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer” option in netplwiz. Here are the steps to do so:

1. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
   
2. Type “netplwiz” and click OK.
   
3. Uncheck the box next to “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer”.
   
4. Click OK.
   
5. Enter your username and password and click OK.
   

Please note that disabling the password requirement may pose a security risk. If you decide to proceed, make sure to take other security measures to protect your device and data.
