Windows 10: Why does my new HP laptop only charge up to 99%

Hello,My laptop only charges up to 99% I got this HP laptop in January and have recently noticed it doesn't go to 100% anymore.

However, to provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

1. Is it the first time you are trying to charge the laptop?
   
2. Do you receive any error message when
   the charger is plugged in?
3. What is the version of Windows installed on the computer? (To check, type
   winver in the Cortana and hit enter.)
4. What is the make and model of the laptop? (To check, refer
   Finding your Product Name, Product Number, or Serial Number)
   

I can understand the situation must be difficult for you when things do not work as they should. However, let us follow these methods and check if that helps.

Method 1: Check the Drivers.

Step 1: Update driver.

1. Press Windows &
   R key at the same time on the keyboard.
   
2. Type: devmgmt.msc (This will open the device manager)
   
3. Expand the "Batteries Tab".
   
4. Right click "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method” > Select update driver and follow the onscreen instructions.
   
5. Restart the computer and check for the result.
   

Step 2: Uninstall driver.

Under Battery tab, right click ‘Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method’ and select
Uninstall. When it is done, click on Action tab on the toolbar and select
Scan for hardware changes. Restart the computer and check for the results.

Method 2: Testing and Calibrating the Battery.

I would suggest you to refer the HP article on
HP Notebook PCs - Testing and Calibrating the Battery (Windows).
Follow the suggestions and check if it is helpful.

Method 3:
Run HP Hardware diagnostics test.

This issue can occur if the charger or battery is faulty. Run the
HP Hardware Diagnostics
test. This
tests the hardware components on your computer and confirm the hardware failures.

I would also suggest you to charge the laptop with an alternate charger and check for the results.

As it is a new laptop and under warranty, you can contact
HP support for the issues related to hardware and receive
the further support.

Toshiba Laptop Not Holding Battery Charge

attached is a pic of the internal of the laptop there does NOT appear to be a CMOS battery what should my next steps be? - fully charge existing battery and see if i remove it and install back teh next day whether its still fully charged? - charge the battery for 18 hours to charge the internal CMOS battery? - suggestions please as Im not sure

 

laptop not charging to full (stuck at 99%)

so i have a hp pavilion laptop that just updated to the newest windows update (although i don't know if that has anything to do with it)

but during the night it was charging and in the morning it was just stuck at 99% and still charging. This is a problem because i use this laptop to game and if it isn't at 100% it has a decreased fps.

someone please help

also my power settings are set to optimise for higher performance
