Windows 10: Why does my OneDrive Account Keep Growing In Size?

I only use my Microsoft for emailhotmail. I have had this account for many years, but the emails are not large.I noticed yesterday that my account storage limit was reached. I started deleting emails with large attachments. However, the size of my account kept getting larger and larger.At first it was about 13.2/5GB, but now about 1 hour later it is at 40GB/5GB!!! I checked my OneDrive and have next to no files there. No pictures. No shared files. Only my laptop is synced, and that is about 2MB of files.I do not have an XBox account.I am not syncing anything from my phone, either.Due to t

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
