    Hello, I've been having problems every time I reinstall windows and I have no clue what could be causing this. Around a months ago for some reason System or ntoskrnl.exe kept using up a ton of disk utilization and this happened completely out of the blue. after a couple days of trying to fix it I did SFC scans, but it couldn't finish because it was too corrupted, I did DISM restore health command but that wasn't working because it was more corrupted, and I did 2 chkdsk but after the last one my PC wouldn't turn on so I just reinstalled windows. Then a day after I reinstalled windows Microsof

    Reinstalling Windows 10 to sell a PC - is the 'Remove everything' option enough?

    Restore factory settings do list Removes your personal files, apps and settings, and reinstalls the version of Windows that came on this PC.

    So if this isn't true well than just erase the drive and install a clean Windows 10 with all the drivers u need but why should it be true

    Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

    That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
    a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
    b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

    I suggest Option 1 is easier.

    If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

    Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
