Windows 10: Why does my pc keep doing this?

I was fiddling around with MSI afterburner on my nitro 5 Acer gaming laptop pretty ancient, when I think I overclocked too much. My screen went a certain colour and stayed like that until I forced shutdown. When turning the laptop back on, it would work until I entered my PIN, about two seconds later, a different coloured screen appearing, stopping me from doing anything but force shutdown. I’ve tried troubleshooting methods in the startup thing that appears when you hold the power button, however nothing works. My restore points don’t let me load them, redownloading windows doesn’t work. It

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
