Windows 10: why does my pc meet the requirements of windows 11 and the update is not available

I just got my pc newly and had to update because it hadn't been updated for a long time. After updating it I went to check the requirements of the pc to see if it met the standards and it did and when i went back to settings to check for updates again it didn't show the update for windows 11

PC meets Windows 11 requirements, no update available

Hello.

I just bought a new computer that came with Windows 10. The manufacturer wrote in the web page that the computer was compatible with Windows 11 and was ready to update.

I have checked with PC Health Check that my pc meets the requirements, it does. However, in windows update it shows "To see if this PC can run Windows 11, check the hardware requirements or visit your PC manufacturer’s website."

The computer is Huawei Matebook 14s with Intel i7 and 16GB of RAM.

I already tried checking for updates many times and running the trouble-shooter for windows update.

I know I can manually install Windows 11, but I would prefer doing it through the Windows update banner.

I understand the windows 11 updates were rolled out in waves, but it's now end of 2022 and everyone should have gotten the update. My old computer updated a few months ago.

Any tips on what to do, besides waiting, to get the windows update banner to update to windows 11?

Windows 11 not meeting requirements.

I ran the pc health check and received that my pc meets requirement for windows 11 although in the check & update section it is still saying my pc doesn't meet requirements?

 

"This PC doesn't currently meet Windows 11 system requirements"

Ian, that's why the very first step I gave was to suggest running the PC Health Check. This is because in a meeting with developers before Windows 11 was released they told us the ultimate authority on compatibility is that tool, and that you can go ahead and install using ISO or media if it passes your hardware because Windows Updates and Installation Assistant may take awhile to catch up but Health Check is always real time.
