Windows 10: Why does my PC not meet system requirements for Windows 11?

If I run the PC Health Check it tells me that my "PC doesn't currently meet Windows 11 system requirements."It meets or exceeds every other requirement except one; "this processor isn't currently supported for Windows 11.""1Ghz or faster with 2 or more cores" is required. My PC is 3.37Ghz with 4 cores. But it's an Intel Core i5 6600 which is not on "the list of approved CPUs." Which begs the question Why Not? The processor speed and number of cores exceeds what is required. The PC I'm using has 16GB of RAM and a 500GB SSD. It is in every way an excellent machine running Windows 10 Pro but in j

PC's not meeting system requirements for Windows 11

I have several PC's currently running Windows 10 but none meet the system requirements for Windows 11.

If I have the motherboard as well as the CPU on each PC upgraded and the system requirements met, would the new operating system still be activated or will I have to buy fresh licenses for each PC?

Currently, on two of my PC's, I have the OEM version of Windows 10 and on the other PC's, I have the retail version of Windows 10.
