    Why does my pc start randomly lagging/lag spiking after i update drivers?


    So i have just updated my drivers using NVIDIA or Geforce since i have a Geforce Rtx And everytime i Open a game or enter a game my lag just randomly spikes and my game ends up crashing some times, this has not happened before just after i updated my drivers. The GeForce Game ready Driver is : 566.14 Im not sure if this issue is in windows or GeForce. My pc has also been very slow after the updates.

    CPU Spikes and PC Lag

    So my PC is running normally without any lag spikes in Videos, Games, and everything UNTIL I open up World of Warcraft, then the lag spikes return.

    Would anyone have a clue about what causes this ?

    Hi,

    We would like to know more about your lag issue:

    • What browser are you using when you experience a lag?
    • Does the lag occur in a particular game?

    In the meantime, we suggest you run the System Maintenance troubleshooter. Here are the steps:

    • Press Windows Key + X.
    • Click on Control Panel.
    • Select Troubleshooting.
    • On the left pane, click on View All.
    • Click on System Maintenance to run the troubleshooter.

    Lag spike?

    Go to the support page for your laptop on the manufacturers website to see if they provide a utility to update all your drivers and if they do, run that utility to see if that resolves the lag spikes.
