Windows 10: why does my speaker didn't produce any sound even though the music is playing?

I just noticed right now that the speaker of my laptop Compaq CQ43 is not functioning. I didn't the windows tone anymore whenever the laptop is on. Right now, I'm about to play music in my playlist yet there was no sound coming out. I already increase the volume to 100. What might be the problem?

No sound from Groove Music

On my Microsoft Lumia 950 (AT&T) Groove Music player syncs properly, it used to work perfectly with Bluetooth, wired headphones, or just through the phone speaker. Then, while right in the middle of a playlist it stopped producing sound. The songs show
as if they're playing, but there is no sound. I have followed the suggested troubleshooting steps, but there is still no sound.

I have the same issue. Why is that Microsoft does not respond to this forum... It has been now three days with no service for me.

Is this Microsoft 's way of asking us to move to other products?

Just to isolate this concern. Could you try to play your music through a web browser on the
Groove webplayer?
