Windows 10: Why does my streaming hdr video setting keep on turning off?

I have an iMac 2017 model running bootcamp and I use display port 1.2 to connect to my ASUS tuf monitor. I'm not quite so sure as to why this particular setting keeps on turning off. I make sure to disconnect my iMac display so it wont interfere with the hdr process. I have also tried updating my monitor's drivers. Is there anyone who has had a similar problem to me and fixed it?

• What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• What is the make and model of the PC?

Where is the HDR Streaming option?

Yeah so I have HDR on, there's an Auto HDR option, HDR content brightness. Battery options is checked to allow HDR games, videos, and apps on battery.

There is a video playback tab that has HDR streaming listed but the only options when I select it are:

A preview that shows what video will look like

Process video automatically to enhance it check box

Save network bandwidth by playing video at lower resolution check box

And the Battery options again set on Optimize for Battery life

 

How to get HDR video streaming to work?





I'm trying to enable HDR video streaming, the setting page says that it is supported, and the display meets the requirements listed in the support page, but when i try to enable it, the preview doesn't change, and if i change any other setting, like the SDR brightness, the HDR video streaming switch turns off.

I've tried, disabling and re-enabling HDR, restarting my PC, running my display at deferent refresh rates, manually altering the HDR registry using command prompt, and switching between RGB, YCbCr444, and YCbCr422 color formats. I temporarily got it to work by switching to YCbCr422, but that stopped working after a restart.
