    Why does my toshiba satellite keep "getting windows ready" after I restart it?


    I'm just newly open my 10 yrs ago satellite l55-a5226 while I kept turned off after I lastly used about 2nd week of december, I opened it again then i'm restarted it for better performance, but it displayed "getting windows ready" and I expected to stay in this screen about 2 hours again. Pls help
