Windows 10: why does my windows 10 computer refuse to recognise my microsoft password to allow me...

My windows 10 newer computer just shut me out of getting on my computer. It will not recognize my Microsoft password to allow access to computer.Was on FB and video was flickering very fast, and froze the page and also froze any further functions. Could not x off any pages,..control/alt/delete would not work,..only option was to shut down manually. when I turned it back on,..my password was not accepted and now I can't get into the computer at all,..it just keeps telling me ,..wrong password,..try again. I am using my old computer to do this,..not windows 10

Computer refuses signon with unknown password


Our computer has mysteriously acquired an unknown password and refuses any signon. We have purposely omitted any signon password (hit return at prompt) because our computers are secure. So the spontaneous injection of a password is problematical. We have tried most recently internally used passwords for applications (starting with the most recent) but nothing works. Short of calling Microsoft does anyone have a suggestion?

We have not originated an account with MS or created any hierarchy of accounts. One user and one signon in an isolated environment.

 

Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

• Launch the Store from your Start menu.
• Click the user icon next to the search box.
• Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
• Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
• When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”

Microsoft does not recognise my password

Some time ago Microsoft refused to recognise my password though I know it was OK. Luckily I can open my computer using my PIN but I'm worried that M'soft might suddenly not recognise that either so I set about resetting my password using https://account.live.com.
Three times I have been through the procedure, first filling in the missing bits of my email address, then using the code which arrives at that address and finally putting in the new chosen password, twice - and finally getting another email saying my password
has been reset. Turn off computer, turn it on again - and the new password is not recognised! I try it again over 3 or 4 days but no success. I am using Windows 10. Help!
