Windows 10: Why does my xbox controller being plugged in cause my computer to glitch / stutter?

Hi, I've just recently been having a problem revolving around my Xbox controller plugged into my computer. I play many different games, and my computer runs absolutely fine when I am playing those games on keyboard / mouse. But when I play Rocket League, with a controller plugged in to ANY usb port, my game will sporadically glitch and or stutter, causing frame loss, freezing, Spotify music to stop, and game audio to stop. I also noticed that whenever I have discord open and my controller is plugged in, discord will prompt me with a box to change my audio output device to my controller. I've t

Xbox Controller on Windows 10 Causing Stuttering

When using an Xbox One controller on Windows 10 it works perfectly for about 30 minutes then the game video and audio begins to stutter and quickly gets worse until the game is unplayable. By unplugging the controller then plugging it back in the problem
is fixed immediately without having to leave the game but begins again after another 30 mins. The is occurring with every game I've tried it on and with both a standard and an elite controller.

I feel like you still need help with your concern, and I would love to give you additional information/troubleshooting for your concern.

Based on my additional research, and consultations from other technical experts, we have gathered the following results. Please try to follow the additional steps below.

Method 1.

• This can be a bit odd, but do you have steam controller input / configuration enabled?
  If yes, please disable that feature, restart the PC and give it a new try.
  

If that is disabled, when you say "I tried doing a controller reset on both of the Xbox controllers" do you mean this?
Reinstall your controller driver:
Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager > search something like Xbox controller category (or similar) > expand the category using the little arrow (">") > select delete/uninstall driver

Click OK, restart your PC and reconnect the controller.
If not, please try that.
If yes, may I know if you tried to reinstall the Plug and Play Software Device Enumerator driver?
You can do it following previous steps, but now select Plug and Play Software Device Enumerator.
Can take a while, would be great to wait up to 15 minutes before trying again

Method 2.

• try reinstalling the controller drivers, and, if you get the chance the mouse ones to rule out this kind of problem:
  
  Right-click the Windows start button -
  
  Select Device Manager -
  
  Find your controller in the device list Right-click the controller
  
  Select Uninstall device - Restart the PC with the controller plugged in.

Game stutter caused by Xbox One Controller

I suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by following the steps provided below:

• Type troubleshooting in the search box and press Enter.
• Click on View All in the left navigation pane.
• Click on Hardware and Devices from the list and follow the on-screen prompts for troubleshooting.

If the issue still persists, install the drivers for the controller in compatibility mode by following the steps provided below:

• Download the setup files for the driver and save it on your local disk.
• Right click on the setup file of the driver and select
  “Properties”.
• Select “Compatibility” Tab.
• Place a check mark next to“Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.
• Let the driver install and then check thefunctionality.
