Windows 10: Why does new HP Envy 2-in-1 laptop lack Personalization & auto screen rotate?

MS needs real intelligence, not AI. Why is Win 11 2-in-1 laptop not setup with default auto-rotation like any iPhone or iPad; that is, to auto-rotate as default config or at least offer this option without going to manual setting when entering tent mode upside down display. No action menu either, whatever that is. No appearance of Personalization exists on settings menu; makes no sense. User should not need to screw with registry & encounter more problems. Users just want their purchased products to operate correctly when purchased. I'm embarrassed to be an MS stockholder. Obviousl

Unable to auto-rotate on HP Envy laptop after Windows 10 update

Here is my solution. I have an HP ENVY 2in1 and the auto-rotate would not work. I tried all the suggestions and even contacted HP but they could not solve it. Here is my solution that worked (I believe there is another layer of settings that is what is greying/locking
out the normal setting to auto rotate):

1. Go to Display settings

2. Select Advanced Display Settings

3. Select Advanced sizing of text and other items

4. Select Change display settings on left

5. Click on checkbox for Allow the screen to auto rotate

6. Apply and click OK

It should work after that. It did for me.

Unable to auto-rotate on HP Envy laptop after Windows 10 update

My HP Envy no longer auto-rotates the screen after the Windows 10 update. I've gone into display setting and noticed the "lock rotation of this display" button. The button is turned to the on position and greyed out. It will not let me unlock it. Is there
a fix or update available so I can unlock screen rotation? I don't want to have to go into my setting each time I want to change the orientation.
