Windows 10: Why does OneDrive Backup important PC folders show 0KB for folders?

Why does "OneDrive Backup important PC folders", "Manage Backup" shows 0kB backed up for each folder but also say at the bottom says 90 GB used? OneDrive says all files synced and all files are showing on OneDrive in the cloud. I just updated to latest version today but have not looked at this for some time. My other computer is on latest preview version and shows the numbers correctly.

Libraries are placed in onedrive folder instead of local folder

They're shell folders, which are different from Libraries.

To revert the shell folder locations to default, open OneDrive and do the following:

Important: Before proceeding, copy the files in those special folders to another folder or external drive. Please don’t copy them anywhere under Desktop/Documents/Pictures. This is because disabling OneDrive backup for a folder might erase the local copies of the files. Copying them to a different location beforehand will ensure that you don’t need to download them again from the OneDrive cloud.

• Right-click the OneDrive icon in the Notification area and click Settings.
  
• Select the Backup tab, and click Manage Backup
  
• In the Manage folder backup dialog, click on the Stop backup link under the special folder (Desktop, Documents, or Pictures)
  
• Click Stop backup in the confirmation dialog that appears.
  
• Repeat the step for each shell folder you want to revert to the original location.

Backup folder is not showing up on OneDrive settings.

On Windows 11, when I go into settings - accounts - it shows my OneDrive as backed up. When I actually log into OneDrive and look at the settings, the Backup tab is missing. I've tried all of the steps that are suggested including re-installing OneDrive but with no success. Thanks.

 

Robocopy error with OneDrive folder, create 0kb files and skip many others files!!!

Hi

I use robocopy to sync OneDrive folder from PC to server as backup.

But, some files on backup server is 0kb and robocopy have problems with žćčšđ croatian letters in file/folder names.

Before moving to OneDrive this wont happen.

What's wrong?
