Windows 10: Why does Paint give 2 different image dimensions?

Windows 10 File Manager Properties, Dimensions says my image is "150 x 150" pixels. Opening it in Paint bottom status line says it is "150 x 150px". So far so good. But the Paint mouse pointer coordinates lower-left, and use arrow keys to move the mouse go from "0, 0px" in the upper left good to "148, 148px" in the lower right. 0 to 148 is 149 pixels, not 150. Is the image 150x150 pixels or 149x149? Or does Paint not allow moving the cursor to the rightmost column or bottom row of pixels? For some reason I am unable to upload my example image, but it seems to apply to any image

Right click a picture in Word and choose 'Save as Picture' then right click the saved file and choose to open that in Paint

Edit the picture and save it, then in word right click the original picture and choose 'Change Picture' - From File and find the edited picture

Does that new image still change dimensions?

Hello, I am having trouble copying pictures from word to paint without the picture shrinking in paint. I've already taken off the option for word to not compress my pictures and they still shrink and when I copy the picture back to word, it is in a smaller
dimension, any help would be appreciated.

 

Cannot edit images when saved in Fresh paint

Hi Kamila,

As per the information, I understand that when you save an image drawn in Fresh Paint, you are unable to edit the image once saved.

If the above is true, I suggest that you follow the steps below to save the image in a manner that will allow you to edit it.

• To save your painting right click on fresh paint and click on
  Save as. You will get an option to select the location.
• Select the location and save the painting.
• When you reopen fresh paint you will be on the painting you used before closing fresh paint. If you do not get the painting, you may click on image and go to the location and select the image to edit.
