Windows 10: Why does phone link automatically text a selected contact's number with and without the...

I initiate text messages through the phone link app.I select a contact from the drop down menu name and number with area code.Upon sending the message phone link automatically sends the message to a group consisting of 1 the contact - name and phone number with area code2 the contact's local number without area codeThis creates a new message thread - separate from any existing thread on my phone or previosuly in phone link. It does not allow me to continue responding to an existing conversation.It breaks the syntax of a conversation by starting a new/seperate one and confuses simple co

The contact list shows the name on the left and an indicator on the right, h, m, txt, which is the last method I used to contact the contact; h for home number, m for mobile, txt for text etc. Later when I click on the contact it assumes I want to use the same
method.

The problem happens when I text person A, call person B and then want to call person A. After I texted person A the right side of his contract in the list changed to "txt". When I want to call person A later using the contact list, and I put the curser on his
name and hit the phone key it won't call person A, instead it will redial the last number and will call person B.

I of course can call person A by drilling down through the contact list to the contact details, and selecting phone number; and there are other ways to call. But my question is:
is there a setting that forces the right side of the contact list to default to a phone number even after I text someone?

 

Microsoft account and phone number linked

Microsoft account password recovery requires two verification codes being sent using two different verification methods. Each Microsoft account has at least two verification methods, the phone number and additional email address which are asked and required when you set up a new Microsoft account with a new hotmail.com or outlook.com email or using a third party email.

When the thief who got your phone tries to recover your password, all your verification methods / security info phone numbers and email addresses will be listed for him to select one. OK, the thief naturally selects your phone number, gets the code sent as a text message, and enters it.

But, clicking Next after entering the code he needs to select another security info contact (phone / email) from the list to receive second verification code.

Password recovery is not possible with just your phone, the system is clever enough to make it impossible by requiring two codes being sent to two different phones and / or emails.

You can add as many phone numbers and email address as you wish as security info contacts at https://account.live.com/proofs/mana...&refp=security. I wholeheartedly recommend that you add at least another security email address; if you only have one phone number and one email added, those which were required when you set up the Microsoft account, and that thief got your phone, the recovery would be as impossible to you as it is to him, you both having access to just one of required two verification methods.

 

Sending text message to contact with multiple phone numbers

I have some contacts that have more than one mobile number (personal and work). I have linked them so that theres one contact where the personal number is marked as "mobile" and work number is marked as "work".

But the probem is this: When I am about to send a text message to this contact, it automatically selects the personal mobile number as the recipient number. How do I send the text message to contact´s work number (is having a separate contact for the work
number the only solution with current version of WP?) I think the phone should ask me which number I want to use, or at least let me select the primary phone number for contact with multiple numbers which would be used for the text messages.
