Windows 10: Why does resizing my pixel art in Microsoft Paint result in a blurry image?

Hello! With the recent Microsoft Paint update, I have noticed that, whenever I resize pixel art, the resized image will turn out blurry. This didn't use to happen. I've searched through all the settings in Paint and I have yet to find a solution. I am a Windows 11 user. Is there any way I can resize a pixel art image while still retaining the sharpness? I tried uploading an image to give an example but the file failed to upload. Thank you so much for your help!

3D Paint Image Resizing

One of the key uses I make of MS PAINT is to resize my images.





If 3D Paint is to become the defacto replacement for MS PAINT, then please show me how to resize images to a specific number of pixels, or to a specific % of the original using 3D Paint.

SPECIFIC CROP

In MS PAINT I crop an image down via Properties. I need some advice on how to do a specific accurate crop in 3D Paint.

Increasing pixels on Paint is performed by via Resize and Skew. To resize an image using pixels, right-click the image on Paint and select
Resize, select Pixels beside Percentage.

Let us know if this was able to increase your pixels.

 

Resizing pictures in Paint on Windows 10

I have a photograph that I am trying to resize.

I brought it up in Paint and went to 'Resize'

I first tried the Percentage option after unclicking Maintain Aspect ratio.

I changed the width to 97% to make it narrower

I changed the height to 112% to make it taller.

The image when printed was wider and longer than I wished for.

I tried again using pixels calculating at 37.5 pixels per centimetre but the resulting image was very like the first attempt.

Am I missing something?
