  2. Display date and time

The Day, Date (mth/day/yr) and Time used to display on my desk top when I opened my computer, I did something wrong because it is no longer displayed. My task bar shows the date (mth/day/yr) and time but not Day, If you hoover over the date it shows the
Day, I went into control panel/computer settings and clock/time and clicked on one of the tabs where it shows short date; long date etc. I tried deleting the short date info and hit apply but it wouldn't let me. How do I get back my Day, Date and Time to
    display again on my desktop

  3. Display Time and Date on Task Bar?

We appreciate the information you've provided Richard. We would like to ask, does it happen when you use a different user profile on your computer?

We suggest that you check the date and time formats set on your computer. Here are the steps:

    • Open Settings.
    • Click on Time & language.
    • Click on Date & time.
    • Under format, click the Change date and time formats link.
    • Use the Short name drop-down menu to select the date format you want to see in the Taskbar.
    • Use the Short time drop-down menu to select the time format you want to see along with the date.
    • Close Settings.

After these steps, see if the date will appear on the Taskbar.

We are eager on getting this resolved for you, we will wait for your feedback.

Why does the date and time display show the day twice?

    Weird date/time glitch

    Hi John,

This could be caused by an error on your system files or it could just be a mistake on your Date/Time settings. A normal restart usually fixes the issue, but if in case it doesn't you can try this steps instead.

    • Right-click on the date and time on your taskbar. A set of options should appear.
    • Choose Adjust date/time. Make sure that it is set to your correct timezone.
    • On the second drop-down, choose Don't show additional calendars.
    • At the bottom, click on Change date and time formats.
    • Suggested format should be:
    • Firs day of week - Sunday
    • Short date - M/d/yyyy
    • Long date - dddd, MMMM d, yyyy
    • Short time - h:mm tt
    • Long time - h:mm:ss tt
You can check the Region and language as well to make sure. It is located on the same Adjust date/time window.

It can be a simple graphic concern so you can also try and update your display driver. Just type in
devmgmt on your search bar beside the Start button. A new window should appear. Expand
Display adapters then right click on your adapter. Click
    Properties.
Then go to Driver tab, then click Update
    Driver.

If you have any other concerns, don't hesitate to come back to us.
