Windows 10: Why does the latest install of Windows 11? prevents using the search function from main screen?

When Windows update for ver. 11 was installed on my pc 1/29/23 the following frequently used functions FAILED TO FUNCTION.1. Home screen searching function broken2. HP Smart Scan stopped workingOnce I restored the previous Windows Ver. 10, the functions where once again available.I do not want future automatic updates, how do I stop them?

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Please reply to a few questions to understand the issue better:

  Are you facing similar issue as the OP?
  
• 
  Are you not able to find “view all” in the troubleshooter window?
  
• 
  If you are facing the similar issue as the OP, did you try the suggestion posted
  emTrebe’s?
  

If you do not find “view all”, follow the steps below to run the
Search and Indexing troubleshooter and check if the issue is resolved.

• 
  Press Windows logo key on the keyboard, type
  troubleshooter and select the top most search result.
  
• 
  Click on System and security
  from the right side panel of the screen.
  
• 
  Select Search and Indexing,
  click on Advanced option and check Apply repairs automatically
  option.
  
• 
  Follow the on screen instructions and wait for the troubleshooting to complete.
  
• 
  After the troubleshooting is complete, close the window and check if the changes are effective.
  

If haven’t tried, follow the suggestion posted by emTrebe on
May 11, 2016 and check if it helps in resolving the issue.

windows 11 search function not working

Sadly method 1 does nothing at all.

I have reinstalled windows 11 twice now, and the search function briefly worked again, but after a windows update the search function has stopped again. Twice! I have tried all the other suggested methods without any success.
