Windows 10: Why does the midi drivers break

    Why does the midi drivers break


    I have a midi keyboard M-audio that connects to my win 10 desktop but 5 minutes into playing the keyboard changes key - so uninstall re-install reboot etc...no joy....then without the keyboard plugged in using finale software some of the parts change key and the same with sibelius, then I figured they are all using the same midi driver from microsoft and it keeps breaking - looked for updates and none, looked for updates for apps and they say it is a microsoft problem-- I checked the language of the driver and it is written in the wrong language.....any updates?

    MIDI Drivers?

    this is a bad suggestion but you could disable the card and run off your onboard if it really bothers you sry no bug help w/ midi try emailing craeative they should help

    hello. I have a problem with may windows midi driver. Windows media player do not play the midi files from C/Windows/Media and I need play this files. what can I do? i have win 8.1 pro

    Well it does seem to be "installed", except i have no idea how i can get the "installed" driver onto my midi-device, when checking the list of installed driver's i don't seem to find my "roland midi driver" (btw i checked the Yamaha midi driver, it did not
    work).

    Still selecting the .inf file from the location where it's installed right now gives the exact same error i started with.
