Windows 10: Why does the Settings app crash when I open Power & Battery settings in Windows 11?

Every time I click on Power & Battery settings the settings app crashes. This happened ever since I updated to this version:

Settings crashing when trying to open 'power and sleep' settings

Hello.

My settings app crashes every time I open the 'power and sleep' settings in windows 11. When I try to open it, it freezes for a second and shows a blue screen before automatically closing and exiting the app. I had run some modification programs, but after the issue started I removed the settings they changed and it still would crash. Is there any way I can fix it without a reset?

 

Power & battery settings in Windows 11 won't open

The power & battery settings won't open when going to Settings >System > power & battery. The same thing happens when I right click the battery icon (power & sleep settings) in the sys tray.

I just installed Windows 11 Home and when I go to settings and click on 'Power & battery' nothing happens.. and the settings won't open. Similarly when I right click on battery icon in system tray and click on 'Power and sleep settings' a window pops up and then disappears. My laptop is Dell Inspiron 3593 and everything is working fine and no issues with the battery and the battery is currently 100% charged. Is there a fix for this? I tried enabling/disabling battery in device manager and updating the drivers and it says the best drivers are already installed. I also ran diagnostics on the battery and it says no action needed. Any ideas how to fix this? thanks
