Windows 10: Why does the taskbar shorten the length to view open tabs?

If it matters or not... i have an hp spectre.If i open one too many tabs why does the taskbar decide to behave like this?and now magically the whole taskbar is empty and i must click on the 3 dots to see all other tabs. How do i avoid this behaviour?? Because when i use it vertically instead of horizontally , this happens even if i have only 4 or 5 tabs open

View IE multiple tabs in tile view

Would anybody know how to view multiple tabs in IE11 using the old "tile view"?

(I wonder whether they have disabled this altogether & replaced it with the "show previews for individual tabs in the taskbar". If they have: boooo!).

We have to navigate through 25+ tabbed browsers and trying to do this by looking at the tabs (too small!) or the taskbar (not very clear) is getting confusing.

Could somebody suggest how to open up the tabs in the old "tile view" or "cascade view"

setting default view for Winodws Explorer Search Reasults

Thank you for the detailed response. To change the search result's view from content to list, we suggest following the steps below:

• Open the File Explorer and try to search for files.
• In the toolbar, open the View tab and click List
  to change the view.
• Once changed, close the File Explorer.
• Open the File Explorer again and try to search to see if the setting has been retained.

Is there a way to make File Explorer open with the view tab as default

When I open Win10's File Explorer, the default tab is always set to the "Home" tab. Is there a way to set the "View" tab as the default tab? Reason I want File Explorer to open with the "View" tab active is that I want to be able to select "List" view or "Detail" view without having to first click the "View" tab. Thanks,
