  3. slow start up * 6 times slower

    Hi Ali,

    The slow start up on your computer may be caused by the update you installed. However, for us to fully identify the root cause, we need to gather additional information. Kindly answer the following:

    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
    • are you getting any error messages when starting up your computer? If so, can you send us a screenshot? Make sure that you remove all personal information.
    • What is the current version and build number of your computer? To get the information, kindly follow the steps below:
      • Click on the Start menu.
      • Type winver.
      • Press Enter.
    In the meantime, we suggest that you boot the computer in Safe Mode. This will start your Windows in a basic state, using a limited set of files and drivers. Please follow the steps provided on this

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    This issue may occur if the Windows updates are not installed in the computer.

    I suggest you to refer to the below steps and check if it helps.

    Step: 1 Stop the Windows Update service
    • Press the Windows+R keys to open the Run dialogue, type
      services.msc
    • Click the Name column heading to sort the names in reverse order.
    • Find the Windows Update service, right-click it, and then click
      Stop.
    Step: 2 Delete temporary files

    • Go to Start button . In the search box, type Disk Cleanup, and then, in the list of results, click Disk Cleanup.
    • Select the hard disk drive that you want to clean up, and then click OK.
    • Select the check boxes for the file types that you want to delete, and then click OK.
    • In the message that appears, click Delete files.
    Step:3 Restart the Windows Update Service

    • Press the Windows+R keys to open the Run dialogue, type
      services.msc
    • Click the Name column heading to sort the names in reverse order.
    • Find the Windows Update service, right-click it, and then click
      Start.
    Now install the Windows updates and check if it helps.
