Windows 10: Why does W10 install Intel HD Graphics driver if I don't need them and how to uninstall...

Is there a way to uninstall all those Intel services?

How to stop install Intel Graphic HD?

I am using a desktop with Intel Graphic HD. Yesterday, I bought new video graphics card (NVIDIA GT 730). I have already uninstall driver Intel Graphic HD (Onboard) and disable this VGA. I install GT 730 driver and click install update from windows. After
update and reboot my PC. I can't access the windows because the file igdkmd64.sys (It from Intel Graphic Driver). Windows update had installed Intel Graphic driver but I don't want it update. Please tell me how to stop update this driver.

 

I need further installation for Intel (R) HD Graphics Driver?

The driver setup is an application. Even when running as administrator, it tells me repeatedly that it will install the 15.33 version but ends up re-installing the 10.18 version, which is pretty annoying. Also, I get a pop up saying that the current graphics
driver I have is newer than the one I'm trying to install, which does not make sense.

I downloaded the Dell Driver Detection, which told me to update my BIOS driver. I did that, and I think my graphics are slightly better but I would really like to know how to get the 15.33 version of the Intel (R) HD Graphics Driver because I think that
would solve my problem. I don't think processor compatibility is an issue for this installation because the Intel Driver Utility only searches for drivers available for my computer's model/processor. However...in the driver description, it doesn't list my
processor in the list of supported systems. Is there any way I can update my graphics driver?

First, I want to thank you for replying and offering a possible solution to this problem. It is appreciated.

Second, don't assume that I didn't follow instructions or that I don't use web search (google/bing). I do. I use it heavily.

Third, the solution and instructions given did NOT work for me. No matter what I did - including extracting the Intel drivers and pointing the update drivers action to the extracted folder - I could not get the update to install. It always gave me the
"you have the latest drivers" response. However, you did prompt me to think about another process I might try...

Forth, what did work for me is this...

• Download the Intel HD5000 drivers from this location. It is OK just to download the exe. But do NOT run the installer... just save it: Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 10 [15.40][4th Gen]
  
• Open Device Manager
• Open properties for Display Adapters > Intel HD Graphics 5000
• Click Driver tab and then Uninstall button.
• In the uninstall confirmation box, click the checkbox to "Delete the driver software for this device"
• Click OK to proceed with the delete. The system will need to restart, and when it does it will come up with the Microsoft Basic Display driver listed in the Device Manager > Display Adapters.
• Do NOT run scan for new hardware.
• Run the Intel HD5000 driver installer that was downloaded in step #1.

Those are the steps that worked for me. It would be great to hear feedback on the steps that worked for others.
