Windows 10: Why does win10/11 screen lock cause my laptop to go really slow after unlocking ?

For years I've seen an issue where after unlocking a locked screen all my apps perform exceptionally slowly. Particular Teams, Outlook, Word, Even Excel, PowerPoint and Chrome can slow right down.Its as if the OS has gone into power save mode during screen lock, but then fails to wake up afterwards. I've adjusted the power setting to have the Disk never go offline even when in sleep mode etc. But this makes no difference.The only resolution is a restart, again its intermittent. the OS can go for a good few days fine before this behaviours starts; Or it can even be the first screen lock af

this is a bit of strange one - on my new Zenbook i noticed that the lockscreen shows up BEFORE the pc goes to screen off - there is no screen saver configured in settings or aynthjing

and the weird part is that it's unlocked also, so you can click ENTER or spacebar or a click of the mouse and it shows the desktop so it's like a "fake" lock screen lol... but it's genuine, no fake screens,etc

Win + L works perfectly etc.

if i change the screen saver setting instead





like this then it goes to lock screen and it's actually locked for example after a minute.

I have another laptop, and it never shown the UNLOCKED lock screen before going in power off - which is set to 10 minutes.

anyone has an idea? it's just odd

Laptop with broken screen How much?

I would like suggestions and look in local stores. I dont wanna buy a laptop from someone online. Sorry. But could be a good idea if you asked him about the performance on older games. Gonna make a list ofall laptops people suggest me.

Remove the screen for space purpose here its small desk and if the screen is opened it will hide my 22 inches lcd

Let us try the below steps to unlock and check if it helps.

• I suggest you to restart the computer, try to unlock and check if the issue persists.
• Use On-screen keyboard to type in your password and check if it helps.

Click on the Ease of access on the lock screen at the right-bottom corner, turn on
On-screen keyboard to type the password.
