Windows 10: Why does Win10 continually ask what app I want to use to open a file when I have answered...

I find Microsoft's attempt at making programs for Windows hopelessly inferior to the vast amount of competition out there yet it assumes I have missed some grand opportunity in using their products for the task and has to repeatedly ask me the same thing over and over. It just shows how completely out of touch they are with their market. How about stop irritating potential customers? How about listening and respecting their answers and not ask the same question every few days? Not all of us have dementia! Plus it's obvious Microsoft is working to funnel everyone and everything into a subs

here is what I get when i start windows. and if i click mouse anywhere but i app to open file the screen goes away.

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
