Windows 10: Why does Win10 need 115 Gb?

My laptop is unusable because everything requires a bit of swap space on C: and Windows 10 seems hell-bent on bloating up all over that partition. Having an actual life, as well as a job that I need a functioning computer to do, I don't have time to go through the hundreds of files one by one every time Windows sets a restore point.


Even if I use TreeSize, I then have to understand what I can and can't delete. Since nothing is on C: except what Windows puts there, I feel like Microsoft should provide a list of what users can delete every time Windows fills up a C: drive. I mean, if they aren't going to fix the problem.


I have two questions:


What can I delete?


Does Microsoft plan to fix this, which, according to this forum, has been a problem since 2010?

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

Unable to install MS15-115 on Windows 10

I too am having the same issue at least with GFI reporting MS15-115 issues on windows 10 (Build 1511, x64) computers.

I see I have the most recent KB installed (3156421) that supersedes the original KB3105211 that is supposed to resolve ms15-115, but for some reason GFI still thinks the vulnerability exists.

my win32k.sys file is also at 10.0.10586.20 while the win32kbase and win32kfull.sys files are at 10.0.10586.312. this is a fresh install. nothing is broken and windows 10 is stable and running as it should. Its just the vulnerability scan keeps hitting
on ms15-115 when windows 10 is patched to the most recent KB listed for KB3105211 in the update catalog.

not sure that a 'repair' will resolve this either....
