  1. Why does Windows 10 log me off when I plug in my charger ?

If I place battery setting to "Turn battery saver on automatically at: Always", Windows 10 logs me off when laptop charger is plugged in. I have to reenter my credentials to continue. If another setting 50%, 40%, etc. is selected, the problem disappears. My Windows is up to date. A brand new battery did not solve the problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    :)

  2. My computer will lag out when I plug it in. (Don't know if it's the right section)

Sounds like some software is optimizing when plugged in. This would draw from your CPU causing a frame rate drop. Some programs are designed to only optimize when the laptop is plugged in.

What security software suit are you running? Can you give a list of non-windows processes when plugged in? Give it about 10 minutes plugged in before gathering the list. This will allow any program optimizations to start and bog the CPU.

I don't think there is anything wrong with his Laptop. This smells of a software issue.

  3. Blank screen when charger is plugged in

    Hello Sudheer,

Thank you for keeping us posted on the status of the issue.

We appreciate you for the time and effort you have put in to resolve the issue. I would like to assist you further from here.

From the last update, I understand that the screen momentarily flashes to black display when power chord is plugged in or plugged out.

There can be several causes to this issue ranging from custom Power Options settings, driver configuration in Windows to voltage difference, power surges at a hardware level.

Please follow the below suggested methods and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

    Method 1

Reset the power options settings in Windows. Please follow the below steps.

    • Press Windows key + X from the keyboard.
    • Choose Command prompt from the context menu.
    • In the command prompt, type powercfg –restoredefaultschemes
      and press Enter.
    • Exit command prompt
    Method 2

Go into the display settings and change the refresh rate just to see if it has any effect. Follow below.

    • Right Click on Start Menu and select Control Panel.
    • Choose Display
    • Click on Adjust Resolution
    • Choose Advanced Settings
    • Click on the tab Monitor.
Check if the Refresh Rate is set to 60 Hertz.

Also, I would suggest you to check with a secondary display to ascertain if the issue is with the display monitor or the charger you are connecting the laptop with.

For more relevant information, refer to the computer assembler/manufacturer's website support on updated drivers for the make and model of your computer compatible with Windows 10.

Hope the above information was helpful. If you need further information, feel free to write to us and we would be happy to help you.

    Thank you.

Why does Windows 10 log me off when I plug in my charger ?

    Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

    • Launch the Store from your Start menu.
    • Click the user icon next to the search box.
    • Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
    • Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
    • When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”
