Windows 10: Why does Windows 10 "Photos" app disable scroll to view next or previous item when looking...

Hi, I often browse trough images in my folders, but there's this really, REALLY annoying quirk in the photos app where it just will not allow me to scroll to change what image it's currently displaying, even if the setting to allow me to do so is enabled if I open a image file presented as a result for a search queury in the search bar of a folder. Is there any way to make it not do that and just to allow me to scroll to see next or previous file even when opening files from a search? This issue seems to have appeared in the last month, no clue why, didn't change any settings or anything, so I

How to disable/uninstall the Photo app in Windows 10?

I suggest you to follow the steps below to uninstall the Photo app and check if it helps.

We cannot disable Photos app on windows 10. However, we can uninstall the app and when you require the app you can download it through Windows Store.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to uninstall the Photo app.

• 
  Type Power Shell in the Search bar,
  right-click on Windows PowerShell and click on
  Run as administrator.
  
• 
  Type the following commands, press Enter
  key after each command, in the given order.
  

1. Get-AppxPackage

(This will view all the apps installed in your account.)

2. Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers

(This will view all Windows apps installed in the computer.)

3. Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.Windows.Photos | Remove-AppxPackage

(This will remove/uninstall the Photo app.)

• Restart the system and check.

I suggest you to follow the below steps to disable the smooth scrolling and check if it helps.

• Navigate to System Properties by right clicking
  Properties from my computer.
• Click on Advanced and click on
  Performance settings.
• In Visual Effects tab of Performance Options window, click
  Custom. Then deselect the following items to Disable some unnecessary eye candy:
• Uncheck Smooth-scroll list boxes.
