Windows 10: Why does Windows 10 put Windows Ink icon in system tray without asking?

I run a desktop computer without a touch screen, so as far as I know, I could not even use Windows Ink Workspace if I wanted to! So why does Windows 10 put the Windows Ink Workspace icon in the system tray, without my permission AND make it incredibly difficult to get rid of? I did a google search and it seems the only way to get rid of it if you have Windows 10 Home edition is to open the Registry, find WindowsInkWorkspace and change the 'value data' :-/ How to disable Windows Ink Workspace on Windows 10 Windows Central

Minimize to icon tray not working in Windows 10 Anniversary Edition

Since updating to Windows 10 Anniversary Edition, RealTemp is no longer minimizing to my icon tray. Is anyone else having these issues?

Can I have a tray icon for automatic maintenance windows 10

As the title says.

On windows 8.1 I have a small flag in the tray with a little clock to let me see that it's working, if so I usually let it do it's thing for 20 minutes or so till it's finished for that day.

Is it possible do get a tray icon in windows 10 to see if it's busy with maintenance?

I suggest you to try the below steps to add the icons to Taskbar and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key, click on Settings.
• Click on System> Notifications & actions.
• Click on Select which icons appear on taskbar (to select the icons that appear on Taskbar)
  and also click on Turn system icons on or off
