Windows 10: Why does windows 10 reset my default audio after a reboot?

Hi everyone! I changed. y microphone settings from the web camera microphone to my plantronics bluetooth headset and saved these. But later today I had to restart my computer and the settings defaulted back to the webcam version. Why would windows do this and is there a fix?

Did you make the plantronics bluetooth microphone the default?

1. Right-click "little speaker"
2. Select Sounds
3. Select Recording tab
4. Note the Microphone Array is the default microphone even when the headset is plugged in.



5. Select the Headset microphone
6. Select Set Default



7. Even after a reboot the Headset microphone is now selected as the default




Note that if the headset is turned off or disconnected the microphone reverts back to Microphone Array.

Also, if you have you have Bluetooth 4.x the headset microphone only works if the following is set:
Playback: Headset (Bluetooth Hands-Free AG Audio)
Recording: Headset (Bluetooth Hands-Free AG Audio)

That is because this is a special mode that forces Mono for headset speakers. With Bluetooth 4.x there is not enough bandwidth to allow both Stereo headset speakers and a microphone to be used at the same time. This means that if you select Playback: Headphones the microphone will be disabled.

 

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

How to reset whole netsh? (Windows 7)

Was wondering has the commands changed somehow since on Windows XP and on Windows Vista 'NETSH INT RESET ALL' cleaned entire netsh up from top to bottom.

Now on Windows 7 this same command says no go and only way I can see it is by building .cmd/.bat which does something like:

(I know I could add more entire list of entries there is, but looking for clean delete/wipe settings & default everything not to dump entire list of resets.)

So, anyone got a plan B?
